Project First Rate (PFR) is a partnership between union contractors and union craftsmen to promote quality craftsmanship with pride, integrity and commitment to our community. Members of Project First Rate understand the importance of building the very best for the Rockford area, giving our community safe, sustainable places in which to live, work, and play.

1982 - Founded

Project First Rate is made up of 15,000 highly-trained union contractors and union craftsmen who represent over 20 locals and organizations. This partnership promotes union work and allows our member to demonstrate a dedication to improving the Rockford region. Our members maintain a standard of very high-quality work through involvement in apprenticeship programs and continuing education courses, ensuring that they remain on the cutting edge of building theories and practices.
